# 1434 Victor Wins in Overtime Alexander Mabbett scored off a feed from Joey Pezzimenti 1:59 into the second overtime period to give Victor the 10-9 win over Webster Thomas. This is the fifth consecutive win for the Blue Devils. Victor started off the game strong and took an early 5-2 in the second quarter. They continued to put up points and increased their lead to 7-3 with 9:50 remaining in the third quarter. After that Thomas put on the back-burners. They scored four straight goals before Victor added their 8th. The Titans continued to push all the way through the fourth and into the two overtime periods. Both teams had shots at the cage in overtime and it was edge of your seat lacrosse for both periods. |

The Warriors defeated Webster Thomas 11-10 in the inter-district match. The game was back and forth for its entirety; the score was never further apart than a two goal difference. |

The Titans led 8-1 late in the second quarter and although the Eagles attempted to fight back, the deficit was too large. They never got the score closer than two goals. The Titans remain undefeated at 4-0 with their closest matchup of the season. |

# 1285 All Greater Rochester 2017 The Rochester Democrat and Chronicle announced their 2017 All-Greater Rochester Lacrosse team today. The list features the top sixteen players and a number of honorable mentions were led by Canandaigua senior Attackman, Devin Andrews who was named "Player of the Year". Andrews, who was also a US Lacrosse All-American, scored 72 goals and 47 assists this year. The SportsFive Offensive Player of the Year plans to study and play at Stony Brook next year. |
# 1236 Horan Scores Game Winner in Second Overtime Webster Thomas took their first lead with an overtime goal from Colin Horan in the second overtime period to defeat Penn Yan 9-8. The Mustangs led for major portions of the game and had a three goal lead with 10 minutes remaining in the fourth quarter. Thomas scored the final four goals of the match-up to force overtime and take the win. |

# 1164 Thomas Surges in Fourth Quarter Thomas scored seven of the last eight goals to defeat Fairport 15-10. The Titans increase their record to 5-1 with the win. Over the first three quarters the score was never more than 2 goals apart with the game tied seven times. However, Thomas scored four unanswered goals to start the final quarter and take the largest lead of the game 13-9. The Red Raiders could not come back and only added a single goal in the fourth. |
# 658 Sweetlax Freshman Take Inside Lacrosse Invitational The Sweetlax Lacrosse Club sent a rising freshman team to the Inside Lacrosse Invitational Recruiting Tournament where they went 6-0 and took first place. The tournament, held at Goucher College (Baltimore, MD), was held from July 20-22. Sweetlax outscored opponents 75-25, allowed no more than seven goals against. The closed game, against FLG 2019 was 9-5. |

Scoring when it was most important, they took their only lead with a sudden victory goal from Travis Ford with 2:11 left in the first overtime period. The Titans scored six of the last seven goals. Trevor and Travis Ford were major players in the contest with Travis scoring 2g (including the game winner) and Trevor scoring 5g. |

The Titans never led and only tied the game twice (9-9 and 10-10). They took their first lead in sudden victory overtime to secure their win and move into the Finals. Irondequoit controlled the game for nearly three full quarters before Thomas fought back at the end of the third. |
